Blera Municipal Crib
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SCHOOL HUB WITH NURSERY AND INTEGRATED SERVICES
The current project involves the partial demolition of an abandoned existing building and the reconstruction of a facility designed to provide new early childhood services, enhancing service availability within the municipality of Blera and neighboring towns.
The facility is configured as a C-shaped building, with the ground floor dedicated to nursery spaces and the upper floor to independently accessible integrated services.
The structure includes a glass atrium directly connected to a protected inner courtyard designed as a sensory garden. This courtyard features various types of paving materials and is enriched with numerous plant species that serve as natural anti-pollution barriers.
The building’s structure is entirely made of wood, using the XLAM system, which enables a more sustainable and environmentally friendly construction aligned with climate needs. This system provides better thermal control and seismic resistance benefits.
