frasca | mattonara
Redevelopment intervention of the archaeological areas identified north of the current port of Civitavecchia in the localities called “Frasca” and “Mattonara”, where significant archaeological finds have been found in recent years. The considerable importance of the findings and the landscape characteristics of the place have led to the study of a naturalistic-archaeological park which identifies an educational, sporting and recreational route with the aim of protection and valorisation. Along the itinerary it is possible to stop at the archaeological finds equipped with information points, services, educational and accommodation centres. In drafting the project, through a careful analysis of the territory, specific functions compatible with the nature of the place were identified, capable of producing activities that guarantee the control of the site, the maintenance and conservation of the finds.
