san lorenzo temple
The San Lorenzo Temple is a historic building in the cemetery of the town of Civitavecchia. The cemetery, built at the beginning of the 19th century, is one of the first examples of Italian cemeteries outside the city walls, as specified in the edict of S. Clou in the Napoleonic era. The structure of the building is still unchanged, characterized by a very symmetrical pattern, with a central chapel flanked by two wings and preceded by a portico. This project aims to safeguard and enhance the monument through an identical restoration.
