The exhibition is part of the program of events organized for the 1900th anniversary of the death of Emperor Trajan, a series of events, including exhibitions, theatrical performances and concerts, marked the 2017 summer season in places linked to the memory of the Emperor in Rome , Fiumicino and Civitavecchia.
The exhibition was hosted inside the premises of the Antica Rocca, one of the most important historical and archaeological testimonies of the city of Civitavecchia.
The route has been divided into 4 different sections in which the steps in the life and works of Emperor Trajan are explained and illustrated; the exhibition, aimed at telling the story of one of the greatest Roman emperors, was punctuated by the presentation of finds, video films and illustrative panels emphasized by the use of light and highlighted by the use of metal structures that they had the intention of making the findings stand out within the sparse environments of the Ancient Fortress.
The inauguration of the exhibition was also accompanied by the staging of a light show aimed at highlighting the main monuments of the historic port basin of Civitavecchia.
